Mcor Technologies to Showcase Industry’s Only Paper 3D Printing Technology at the 2013 AMUG Conference

Apr 2, 2013 by

Mcor 3D printers produce durable prototypes from common letter paper, delivering the lowest cost, most eco-friendly and unique full-color 3D printing capability

DUNLEER, IRELAND, April 2, 2013Mcor Technologies Ltd will display its low-cost, eco-friendly, full-color paper 3D printing technology as a Gold Sponsor at the Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) Conference, April 14-18 in Jacksonville, Florida, USA.

Included in the Mcor exhibit will be 3D models built with the full-color Mcor IRIS and the monochrome Mcor Matrix 300+ 3D printers. Visitors to the Mcor display during the Exhibitor Expo will be able to experience the durability, high quality and unique feel of paper 3D printed parts.

A highlight of this year’s event will be a presentation by Mcor CEO, Dr. Conor MacCormack, about the technology, history and vision behind paper 3D printing on April 17 at 10:30 a.m. Dr. MacCormack will also participate in the Materials Round Table discussion on April 17 at 9 a.m.

The Mcor Matrix and IRIS are the only 3D printers that create physical 3D models from paper (standard Letter/A4 sheets), whether fresh or previously used. When sheets of paper are cut and bonded together, the resulting model is tough and durable. Mcor 3D printed models can be tapped, threaded, hinged and can be made waterproof.  They can even be disposed of in the recycling bin for cradle-to-grave sustainability.

3D printing enables quick and cost-effective production of early prototypes, mold tools, architectural studies, three-dimensional maps, medical models and more. Mcor’s part cost is five percent of other technologies’ costs, and therefore, the total cost of ownership over five years can save hundreds of thousands of dollars.

What: Examine Mcor 3D printed models and watch video demonstrations of the Mcor Matrix 300+ and Mcor IRIS.

When: Exhibitor Expo: Sunday, April 14, 5 p.m.-10 p.m. and Monday, April 15, 6 p.m.-10 p.m.

Presentation by Dr. Conor MacCormack, Mcor CEO: Wednesday, April 17, 10:30 a.m.

Materials Round Table Open Discussion (Dr. MacCormack’s participation): Wednesday, April 17, 9:00 a.m.

Where:  Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, Jacksonville, Florida, USA
