Mcor is Edison Award Nominee!
Now in its 30th year, the Edison Awards is an annual competition honouring excellence in new product and service development, marketing, human-centred design, and innovation. The awards are named after Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931) whose inventions, new product development methods and innovative achievements literally changed the world, garnered him 1,093 U.S. patents, and made him a household name around the world.
Mcor has been nominated for the Mcor ARKe and could now be following in the footsteps of such honourees as Elon Musk and Steve Jobs! And it would seem that Edison award winners represent “game changing” products and excellence and leadership in innovation – so we are in good company!
Mcor ARKe is the world’s, first full-colour desktop 3D printer. Using an integrated print head with a DPI of 4800×2400, Mcor ARKe brings high resolution colour to the desktop transforming desktop 3D printing from a monochromatic age to a world of full colour offering 2 million colours. Mcor ARKe is a premium product which also offers low cost of printed parts and excellent eco-friendly credentials. The printer also uses a new ‘Power’ adhesive that will render the ARKe models double the stiffness of parts from previous printers making them even more suitable for functional applications. Mcor ARKe’s premiers full-colour capabilities in the desktop market and bridges the chasm between the creative and engineering end user markets.
Mcor was nominated in the applied technology category which will be filtered by the Edison Award steering committee and voted upon by a panel of more than 3,000 judges from business and academia. The Edison Awards symbolize the persistence and excellence personified by Thomas Edison, while strengthening the human drive for innovation, creativity and ingenuity -that sums us up alright!
We look forward to participating in these awards and hopefully taking home more silverware for Mcor!
