Hey Dudes our Model of the Month is a Turtle!
A few months ago we had a blog about how a group of school kids used 3D printing to help them understand a bit more about where Nemo lives!
The marine life models really helped the children understand the colour, shape and structure of the animals. Holding, touching and rotating each model helped the students to really engage with the marine life theme. It is clear from this example that in education 3D printing can really bring a subject to life so to speak!
Well the nemo theme is back in our blog this week with our model of the month – it’s a fun model of a Turtle!
Remember ‘Crush’ the sea turtle from Nemo well here is his cousin ‘Cruz’!
This model is an excellent example of what our full colour 3D printing technology is capable of –
Full colour and texture: how full colour 3D printing can lend itself to producing photo-realistic models that also demonstrate texture.
The turtle shell looks like the real thing!
Functional model: Our turtle model not only looks good but it also offers functionality – it’s a money box!
People often ask if we can print hollow models so here is a very good example of this – this is a hollow model so you can drop in your coins!
Applications: this model also demonstrates the many applications that full colour can be used for – whether it’s for use in the process of making animations movies like Nemo or for the study of marine life full colour goes a long way to make the model realistic straight out of the printer!
It is always a challenge to find full colour models that really show off our full colour 3D printing ability but this one does just that. So dudes watch out for our full colour 3D printing models – you can’t miss them, they are the ones that look real!
