Global 3D Printing Day
Even though Christmas is the big celebration on everyone’s mind, make way in your calendar for an important celebration that is also an annual celebration ……..for 3D printing – Global 3D printing day.
Not unlike the 4th of May for Star Wars day – may the force be with you, the 3rd of December which makes reference to the ‘3’ and ‘D’ of December is a day to celebrate 3D printing! GE started 3D printing day in 2013 by GE but since then a broader group has taken ownership of the day and it is now all about finding ways to celebrate additive manufacturing and raising awareness for this growing industry.
The first 3D printer was invented back in 1984, however, the technology has come a long way since then. There is now an array of 3D printing platforms available printing with plastic, resin, powder, metal and paper! All platforms add value to this industry and in a variety of different applications. I like to think our contribution at Mcor has been to offer low cost full colour 3D printing all wrapped up in an eco-friendly bow! We have worked hard to provide a technology that is safe and clean but at the same time offers the highest quality colour in the industry. I believe this is unique to us.
So today we are proud to be players in this innovative industry – an industry going from strength to strength and that will surely take us to new frontiers and beyond!
Just hold on for the ride!
